Missouri's Premier Space History Immersion — Artifacts, VR, Legends
The Space Museum & Grissom Center is a nonprofit in Bonne Terre, Missouri, housed in historic Heritage Hall (1908 Tudor). Dedicated to Mercury 7 astronaut Gus Grissom, we steward world-class artifacts from the Space Race to today—engine bells, suits, mission patches—paired with hands-on interactives, VR spacewalks, and our immersive Shuttle Theater.
Every visit fuels education programs, preserves aerospace history, and keeps admission family-friendly. Free parking on-site.
“Hidden Heartland Treasure! The curation rivals big-city museums.”
“World-class artifacts you can get close to. Staff is passionate.”
“The VR spacewalk blew my mind. Kids still talk about it.”
From engine bells and flight suits to mission patches and astronaut tools—spanning Mercury to modern missions.
Step outside the station in a guided EVA simulation. Breathtaking scale, zero-gravity feel, unforgettable views.
Buckle in for a cinematic launch and orbital mission brief inside our Shuttle Theater experience.
Docking challenges, guidance computers, rocket principles—touch, test, and learn by doing.
Bring your class, troop, or STEM club for a private museum experience with tailored content, VR rotations, and Shuttle Theater screenings. Capacity for small to mid-size groups. Bus-friendly, free parking, and flexible scheduling.
Your donation powers exhibits, school programs, and artifact conservation.
